Temporary Personal Assistant to Deputy Head
£15 per hour
Chelmsford, Essex
Monday-Friday, 37 hours


Please note, this is a temporary position until April 2025. To be considered for this role, you must be available immediately. Due to the nature of the business, you will require a fully enhanced DBS.

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join their dedicated team as a Temporary Personal Assistant. As the Personal Assistant to the Deputy Head, you will be an essential member of their team, supporting them with various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth running of their day-to-day activities. Your excellent organisation and prioritisation skills will be put to good use as you assist with diary management, appointment scheduling, and other vital arrangements. Your ability to maintain confidentiality and provide a high-quality typing service will be crucial in drafting and preparing general correspondence.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist the Deputy Head with their daily tasks and responsibilities

  • Maintain diaries, schedule appointments, and make necessary arrangements

  • Conduct research and disseminate information as directed

  • Attend meetings, draught agendas, minutes, and other associated circulations

  • Handle booking and purchasing of ad hoc items such as hotels and conferences

  • Draught and circulate emails on behalf of the Deputy Head

  • Ensure all information is readily available for key events, including Ofsted inspections

  • Provide support at educational events

  • Maintain minute books and confidential records

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail

  • Welcome visitors and offer hospitality

  • Order office supplies and arrange car parking for visitors


Requirements:



  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential for consideration

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications

  • A positive and proactive approach to work
