Job Title: Finance Assistant



Location: Remote



Duration: 8 weeks



Hours: Monday - Friday, Flexible working hours , 37.5 hours



Salary: £ 14 per hour

The Role : Our client is seeking an experience Finance Assistant to join and contribute to a successful finance department. You will be covering a range of financial administrational tasks. You will maintain accurate books on accounts payable and receivable and daily financial entries, raising invoices, purchase ledger and sales ledger.



Key Duties



  • Manage the Debtors Ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of cash receipts, money transfers, and supplier payments to SAP.

  • Reconcile Supplier Accounts to Supplier Statements, resolving any discrepancies.

  • Process and approve employee expenses, ensuring timely payment and accurate record-keeping.

  • Handle monthly company expense claims, as well as the reconciliation of Company Credit Card expenses.

  • Take charge of control account reconciliation and internal reconciliations of P&L accounts.

  • Assist in the month-end ledger close and preparation of weekly SAP reports.

  • Monitor weekly bank downloads, perform balance checks, and contribute to cash flow forecasting.

  • Provide support in resolving payment queries and sending remittances.

  • Act as a point of contact for customer and supplier queries via email or phone calls.

  • Support internal administration functions, such as finding and booking hotels and venues.

  • Contribute to finance and administration projects as required.



About You



  • Proven experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer, or similar role.



  • Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.

  • Advanced MS Excel skills, capable of creating spreadsheets and utilising financial functions.

  • Familiarity with accounting software, SAP Business 1.

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

  • Attention to detail, with the ability to spot numerical errors.

  • Analytical mindset, able to interpret financial data effectively.

  • IT literate across Microsoft 365 and Teams.

  • Self motivated

  • Ability to work independently and remotely
