Exciting Opportunity for a Temporary Medical Secretary.



We are currently seeking a highly capable and motivated Temporary Medical Secretary to join a dynamic and rapidly growing private medical organisation.


Our client, a leading player in the private medical industry, is looking to enhance their newly formed concierge team with exceptional individuals who are eager to make a difference.

Start Date: Monday 1st July 2024


End Date: End of August possibly longer


Contract Type: Temporary


Working Pattern: Full Time


Various shifts: 08.00 - 16.00 / 09.00 - 17.00 / 10.00 - 18.00 / 12.00 - 20.00 - On rotation


Location: Marylebone / Baker Street area



What You'll Do:



  • Provide top-notch customer service by responding to incoming calls promptly, obtaining accurate information, and passing on messages promptly.

  • Effectively manage patient enquiries with efficiency and empathy, ensuring minimal time spent with callers while remaining polite and attentive to their needs.

  • Act as the first point of reference for designated Consultants, liaising between all staff members and ensuring seamless communication.

  • Prepare consulting rooms, computers, and messages ahead of consultants' clinics.

  • Promote the organisation's exceptional services to colleagues, consultants, and patients.

  • Greet visitors, ascertain the purpose of their visit, and provide appropriate guidance.

  • Support colleagues as required, including covering for annual leave and sickness.

  • Ensure accurate registration of patient details in the database, including name, address, email, associated doctors, and other relevant information.

  • Schedule appointments for patients and provide them with necessary information packs.

  • Prepare and send accurate letters to patients in a timely manner.

  • Efficiently manage email communication with relevant parties.

  • Assist with the completion of insurance claim forms.

  • Ensure medication reconciliations, patient records, and referral letters are up to date.

  • Safely manage the journey of the patient through the clinic to enhance their overall experience.

  • Arrange any required medical tests in adherence to established protocols.

  • Coordinate hospital visits for patients as needed.

  • Previous experience as a medical secretary or in a similar role is highly desirable.
