City of London - Hybrid Working. Must be able to travel to Reading once per month.

Duties:



  • Provide secretarial support to fee earners, including typing documents, monthly billing, file opening, and general administrative tasks.

  • Allocate secretarial work across all offices and ensure sufficient coverage during unplanned absences.

  • Act as the first line of support for secretaries, addressing any issues and escalating as needed.

  • Implement and manage secretarial and administrative procedures across the team and firm.

  • Lead monthly Secretary meetings and promote effective communication.

  • Motivate and inspire the secretarial population to support their professional growth and achieve the firm's goals.

  • Liaise with other areas of the firm, including Accounts, Practise Team Leaders, HR, and IT, to ensure smooth operations.

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement, develop potential solutions, and contribute to the enhancement of processes.


Requirements:



  • Proven similar experience, ideally with a Legal background.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written and oral communication skills.

  • A flexible and positive attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a busy workload.

  • Outstanding organisational and prioritisation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Strong IT skills.
