Monday - Thursday 8.30am-5.30pm, Friday 8.30am-3.00pm

Our client, a leading business, is on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Ledger Clerk to join their growing finance team in Basildon. As a Sales Ledger Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our finance operations. Your responsibilities will include:



  • Producing sales invoices and credit notes across multiple entities and currencies.

  • Maintaining sales order reports and ensuring precise data entry.

  • Managing credit control for assigned accounts while building strong customer relationships.

  • Promptly resolving queries by liaising with customers, international factories, and freight forwarders.

  • Collaborating closely with Sales Directors and Coordinators to ensure seamless processes.

  • Supporting the Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks as needed.


To succeed in this role, you should have:



  • Previous experience in a similar finance role.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy in data handling.

  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude with strong communication skills.

  • A team player mentality, comfortable liaising internally and externally at all levels.

  • Proficiency in Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel is essential.
