Job Title: Part-Time Payroll Clerk


Location: Brough, East Yorkshire


Remuneration: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year


Contract Details: Part-time, Permanent


Responsibilities:


Process payroll for employees accurately and timely using software.
Maintain payroll information by collecting and entering data.
Collaborate with the HRIS team to ensure accurate employee data.
Assist with accounts payable tasks related to payroll deductions and benefits.
Work closely with the Human Resources department to address payroll inquiries.
Utilise software to generate reports and analyse payroll data.
Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
Answer employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll.
Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions.
Process new employees, promotions, and terminations.
Issue statements detailing earnings and deductions.
Issue and deliver paychecks to employees.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Maintain and update payroll records.
Prepare periodic payroll reports.


Skills:


Proficiency in analysing and processing payroll data.
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail.
Knowledge of accounts payable processes related to payroll.
Ability to collaborate effectively with HR and other departments.
Strong people skills and communication abilities.
Knowledge of taxation, pension, SSP, and other statutory payments.
