Our client, a leading organisation based in Ashford, is seeking a motivated individual to join their Accounts Receivable (AR) team. As a part-time AR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in recording and reconciling cash receipts, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining strong relationships with customers in France. Job Title: French speaking Credit Controller


Location: Ashford, Kent


Salary: £25,000 salary on pro-rata for 25hrs/week, approximately £16,800


Duration: 12 month maternity FTC


Hours: Monday to Friday, 5 hours a day for example, 8:30am - 1:30pm, these times are flexible, 20 minute break


Hybrid working: Yes once fully trained, 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

Responsibilities:



  • Liaise with customers, both internally and externally, to ensure smooth financial transactions.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly debtor returns and provide support to other members of the AR team.

  • Utilise your accounting knowledge to optimise AR processes and leverage technology effectively.

  • Apply payments and currencies accurately to maintain accurate financial records.

  • Proactively resolve queries and provide exceptional customer service.

  • Ensure all activities have a clear audit trail and can be readily available upon request.

  • Foster positive business relationships with key interfaces, promoting effective collaboration.

  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to health and safety legislation.

  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and company procedures.

  • Share your knowledge and experience by supporting and training colleagues when needed.

  • Engage in and promote Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, driving continuous improvement.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:



  • Working knowledge of credit control.

  • Oracle experience and knowledge preferred.

  • Proficient in using Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, and Word.

  • Basic accounting knowledge.
