Job Title: Operations Coordinator


Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 45 hours a week on a shift rota basis


Salary: £27,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:



  • Professional Communication: Promptly and professionally answer phone calls, creating a positive first impression for customers.

  • Logistics Coordination: Organise collections, transit routes, and deliveries to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

  • Event Tracking: Maintain up-to-date event tracking for all bookings and in-transit consignments.

  • Collaboration: Coordinate with Operations and Imports departments to ensure timely arrivals in accordance with SLAs.

  • Customer Updates: Provide timely updates to customers about any exceptions or issues.

  • Documentation Management: Request and record all Proof of Deliveries from relevant agents.

  • Discrepancy Reporting: Report all discrepancies to management for swift resolution.

  • Quote Provision: Provide accurate and clear quotes to customers upon request.

  • Email Management: Monitor and respond to emails for the Service Centre promptly.

  • Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure a high-quality customer experience.


We are looking for someone who embodies the following qualities:



  • Logistics Experience: Some experience in logistics is a plus.

  • Customer-Focused: Responds promptly to the needs of customers and suppliers, ensuring all requests are met.

  • Time Management: Ensures all jobs are collected and delivered within agreed timescales.

  • Proactive Problem Solver: Takes the initiative to suggest service delivery improvements to management.

  • Skilled Listener: Understands and empathises with customers, recognising the context of their needs.

  • Self-Motivated: Works well with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong initiative and dedication.
