As an HR Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting senior leadership teams and driving the organisation's HR initiatives.

Responsibilities:



  • Be the first point of contact for employee relations and HR queries

  • Organise and support meetings, events, and functions to help deliver the organisation's priorities

  • Contribute to the team's objectives and participate in relevant projects

  • Role model the organisation's values and adhere to health and safety, equal opportunities, and environmental policies

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including defining job needs, preparing job descriptions, and managing the resourcing process

  • Review and update job descriptions, advise managers on recruitment and selection strategies

  • Assist with and develop recruitment campaigns, including preparing recruitment packs and posting recruitment adverts

  • Manage employee data and maintain relevant systems

  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees, including carrying out pre-employment checks

  • Manage staff relationships, respond to queries, and manage expectations

  • Support HR Business Partners with capability investigations, grievances, and disciplinary cases

  • Assist with driving HR initiatives, change management programmes, and HR projects

  • Provide end-to-end support for employee life cycle processes

  • Maintain accurate staff records in the Single Central Record


Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):



  • CIPD qualification or relevant Degree (Level 3 or above)

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and delegate

  • Ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations with confidentiality and emotional intelligence

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, familiar with employment legislation and HR policies and procedures

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Experience in managing personnel information systems and strong IT skills

  • Ability to participate effectively in ongoing projects

  • Experience in payroll within a medium-sized organisation

  • Experience providing generalist HR advice and support

  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practises


Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):



  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practises

  • Experience advising senior/middle managers on employment law issues

  • Strong report writing and data management skills


Technologies:



  • Proficiency in using HR systems and databases
